This study explores the notion that “avoidance is the best response to conflict”, with a specific focus on Edo State. Utilizing a sample size of 100 respondents, the research investigates various conflict situations and the effectiveness of avoidance as a coping strategy. Data analysis was performed using the simple percentage method, enabling clear interpretation of respondents' attitudes and experiences concerning conflict resolution. The findings indicate a complex relationship between avoidance and conflict outcomes, suggesting that while avoidance may offer temporary relief, it often impedes long-term resolution.
